japan 2008Annie Tsai makes videos, goes to college, and posts musings to her website. Currently, she is is a senior studying Communication at the University of California, San Diego.

She has worked as a correspondent and production assistant for EPIC FU (a Webby and Streamy Award winning original web series about art, tech, and music), where she hosted fun segments and produced behind the scenes videoblogs. Last summer, she interned for Next New Networks, an independent producer of several niche online television networks, working as a production assistant for several amazing shows. She updates her blog, Twitter, and Flickr quite frequently.

Annie built her first website in the 6th grade with self-taught HTML skills. Several years later, “Annieisms” debuted as a blog, reincarnating in 2005 with the addition of video. In 2006, Tellabs recognized Annie as one of the fresh faces of the new media generation, making her a part of their ‘Inspire the New Life’ campaign of mini-documentaries. Most recently, Annie spoke about new media at the ITASA East Coast Conference at MIT Boston.

Annie’s hobbies include knitting, eating colossal amounts of food, and various dorky things. She has also been known to: 1) write awkwardly about herself in the third person on ‘about pages’… and 2) point out the obvious. Feel free to get in touch, she really likes email! :)

Photos along the top of the website come from Annie’s personal Flickr photostream.
