Someone broke into my car; They smashed the window and stole my purse. My camera was inside. I guess this means no videos for a while.

It’s totally my dumb fault for leaving my purse in the backseat. My poor car. Sigh.

  1. Nooooo!!!! that blows annie! your beautiful brand new car. =(.

I once had to break into my own car. I was out on a fishing trip miles from the nearest phone or city. actually i had to break two windows!

Don’t fret too much, things can be replaced and hopefully your insurance will cover it (or some of it).

I had my wallet stolen and it was horrible… it’ll all work itself out eventually though.

  4. I know how it feels to get a vehicle broken into and it isn’t good. I learned not to put my trust in material possesions. They always break or get stolen. As long as your ok and next time don’t leave your cam in your car. Live and learn. I will still read your vlog…blog regularly.

  5. Sorry to hear about that. Don’t blame yourself about leaving your purse there - it’s your car, you have every right. Blame the thief.

Anyway, just wanted to comment on how great this site is.

  7. That’s so sad…I hate bad people! They’re just…BAD! :(

Good thing cameras and purses, and windows can be replaced. But you can’t be replaced and I’m glad you’re okay. :)

  8. I’m sorry Annie! :( Hopefully you will be able to get a new camera sometime! :-) I love your vblogs! As for me… I’m also looking for a camera, but am pretty confused. There are so many and their features are so similar. Do you think there is a big difference between 5MP and 6MP?

  9. @ rebekah, there shouldn’t be too big of a difference. i picked up somewhere on the net that the lens plays a big role in the quality of pictures. if you got a 10 mega pixel camera with a crappy lens, it could look grainy, and when shrunk down to a 5 mega pixel sized picture it would come out the same quality. hope that helps!

  14. That stinks… people really suck sometimes. Do what i do- make a voodoo doll!! Whee!!

…just kidding. But seriously, i sorta know how you feel. One of my best friends had her 1500 dollar digital camera stolen from a practice room in school.
But its not your fault. Its the other guys fault.

  20. oh, man - am I ever sorry to hear about this, Annie. I can’t imagine what that must be like. I had a car stolen once but it was likely worth less than your camera. Actually, it was really a relief when it was all said and done - no more half-broken-down car.

But it’s not your fault. Don’t blame yourself.

  21. Even though I don’t know you, I am really sorry to hear about your car. That sucks, but thank goodness for insurance. Just to let you know, I ran across your blog through the student link in my profile. Everything will turn out fine, as you probably already know :-)
